Are you our new medical specialist for the Odense University Hospital mammography centre?
Are you committed to strong, professional insight, collaboration and a high level of service? Are you keen to take on new challenges in a new country? If so, you could well be the medical specialist we are seeking for the mammography centre at Odense University Hospital, Denmark.
You must be a qualified medical specialist in radiology, ideally with experience in clinical mammography and screening mammography. You have previously worked with ultrasound diagnostics, stereotactic biopsy and breast MRI.
Your duties will include the mammography screening of women aged 50–69, and you will also be involved in performing supplementary radiological and ultrasound examinations and in taking biopsies. You have a natural interest in research and development in this field. You must be keen to share your knowledge, as the mammography centre participates in the training of medical and radiography students.
At the centre, you will be working closely with other doctors, nurses and radiographers. You will also be part of various teams, which will involve interdisciplinary working relationships with surgeons, pathologists and oncologists, for example.
On a personal level, you are prepared to live and work in Denmark. You must have an interest in learning Danish and in becoming assimilated into Danish society and culture. You are determined, you have good interpersonal skills, and you have a burning desire to take on challenges.
The Region of Southern Denmark will help you make a start in Denmark, assisting with intensive lessons in Danish and helping with other practical matters. You will have the opportunity to participate in professional courses and supplementary training. This will naturally provide you with plenty of opportunities for meeting other doctors and for networking.
